The former president's Family Member Receives Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA Debut
The rising star boasts considerable online audience
Kai Trump can count on numerous prominent supporters as she begins her professional golf debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, operates several golf courses and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Just stay calm."
"He basically suggested to go out there and enjoy myself," she added.
"To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."
While still amateur, Kai has competed in only three events recently and holds position 461 in AJGA listings.
Yet she can get advice from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with her mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He suggested me to play, relax, adapting to the flow."
She'll challenge multiple the biggest names in women's golf at the Annika, including second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials stated that involving Kai exposes the sport to different demographics, specifically among the next generation.
Kai boasts millions of followers and recently launched her own clothing and lifestyle company.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
