Fresh particulars have surfaced about the shocking demises of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their residence property on Sunday.

The Discovery

A source indicates quoting a person close to the family, a therapist arriving for an appointment first raised the alarm after not being able to enter the residence. The practitioner then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides in the vicinity.

After gaining access to the house, Romy came upon her father's body. Accounts indicate she then fled the house in anguish, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. Another individual who had accompanied her contacted 911. Afterward, emergency responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

The police have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, along with the alleged use of a deadly weapon, reportedly a knife. He is now being held and is ineligible for bail.

The person close to the family questioned several initial details. They said that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a detached unit on the estate, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that moment.
