Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Prolific children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A representative for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about questionable actions towards young women.
The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
