British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos confirmed on late Wednesday. The athlete was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on December 29th, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

The sports star had remained in the hospital while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”

His release from the hospital comes as the global fight fans had expressed its support for the fighter in the wake of the terrible crash.
