Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The jet touched down in accordance with standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is safe," an official representative said in a social media post.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to Brussels at the time.
This occurrence does not mark the first time that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has experienced mechanical issues.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington after suffering a mechanical fault.
